Kelly has extensive counseling experience with weight loss and weight management as well as with various disease states, including diabetes, congestive heart failure, dialysis, kidney stones, diverticulitis, post bariatric surgery as well as post-liver and kidney transplant. She has worked with groups across the lifespan including pre-school age children, high school students, parent and adult populations, and fellow dietitians.
Kelly is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Dallas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietetic Association. She graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science from Cornell University and went on to complete her dietetic internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Kelly enjoys being active and was a four-year varsity soccer player at Cornell University where she was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week her freshman year, Most Valuable Player her sophomore year and awarded the Randy May Coach’s Award her senior year. During her four years on the team, she was elected to the team’s leadership group by her coaches.
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys strength training, reading recipes and finding ways to make them healthier, trying new restaurants and learning about new food products.
